Exciting news for the neighbours of Histon and Impington: new tango course starting soon!
Starting Thursday 26 September, for 10 weeks
7.00pm – 8.30pm
This course is about Tango, which is a cultural expression from Buenos Aires, famous worldwide as a passionate couple’s dance. Tango Salon is different from Ballroom because it allows freer movement and explores improvisation at the milonga (social dancing).
If you enjoy dancing to music, want to get fitter and would like to feel more comfortable and confident moving around a dance floor, then this course is for you.
You will acquire a concrete guide on how to freely interpret music, approach any dance figure and get the basic idea of tango dancing and culture.
No dance partner is required. You will be encouraged to dance with different partners during the session which is the true nature of a Milonga.
· Introduce Tango Salon – Milonga
· Understanding creativity and improvisation as central principles
· Embracing Tango as a whole cultural expression
What you need to bring to the first session:
No special shoes (preferably not trainers as they are too grippy)
Bottle of water
